Frequently asked questions

  1. Can we expect the additional day (December 23rd) to the Christmas break schedule to be observed by the university in the future?
    1. No, this will be a one-time addition to our normal Christmas break schedule. If you complete timecards, you will need to make sure that you enter the December 23rd through January 1st as a holiday. Here are additional instructions, https://hr.creighton.edu/sites/default/files/2020-07/timecards_biweekly_2020.pdf, you will need to add a new row and select ‘Holiday’ for the time type.
  2. What do I do if my vacation request for December 23rd in myhr has been approved?

    1. You will need to withdraw the vacation request in the myhr system and resubmit a new request if necessary, for example if you are taking multiple days off like December 21-22. To cancel the vacation request, you will need to go the Time and Absences tab, Existing Absences tab, and go to the record and withdraw the request.

If you have any question on the Holiday schedule, how to enter the Holiday to your timecard, or how to withdraw a vacation request you can contact Creighton Human Resources at 402-280-2709 and via email at HR@creighton.edu.
